Running through my head, in Frances McDormand's best Minnesota accent this morning is "How d'ya know": the question Marge Gunderson asks Jerry Lundegaard in Fargo: how d'ya know what cars are on your lot?
And when Romney finally releases some tax records, how would we know whether they are authentic? I don't want to go all long form birther here, but Romney's weird evasiveness about his taxes makes me wonder whether the tax documents he releases will be actual copies of those he filed with the IRS--- how could we know? The IRS can't say anything. And if he is sitting on a history of sub 15% tax rates (my guess is closer to 10%) with tax avoidant vehicles in the Caymans, he might want to do some scrubbing and some make believe. Maybe that's why is he stalling for time and tap dancing in his answers these last few days---he has a team of tax fiction writers working to solve his problem.
"I don't want to go all birther here," she says. Well, I guess you don't know what you don't know. Y'know?
